Recently named one of the nation's top 40 programs for training EMTs, Valencia's Emergency Medical Services A.S. degree program prepares students to become EMTs and paramedics. In the Paramedic Lab, students practice working in the tight space of a "simbulance" to deliver care such as CPR, bandaging, shock treatment and setting up IVs in the tight space of an ambulance. To ensure scenarios are accurate, the program is mentored by local fire and EMS agencies, who also help with job placement.
