Martin Luther University College (formerly Waterloo Lutheran Seminary), is the founding institution of Wilfrid Laurier University. Starting in 1911, Luther has educated leaders and followers for the church and the wider world.
In its academic programs, students continue to develop their faith (if they subscribe to one) or worldview (if they don't hold to a particular religious tradition). Students have opportunities to learn how to integrate spirituality into their working life and respond to the demands of a fast-changing world.
Luther is a small school with access to a lot of great resources. Its connection with Laurier gives students the chance to pursue research and scholarly interests in a place that fosters academic excellence.
Martin Luther University College offers bachelor's, master's and PhD programs. At the start of the 2018-2019 school year, students began taking courses in a completely renewed and modernized building.
