Huff Athletic Center: Glennie Gynasium
Glennie Gymnasium received a makeover as part of the construction of the multi-million dollar Huff Athletic Center. The grand windows from the concourse and skylights overhead make for a bright venue and nothing has been brighter than the Fighting Scots teams that call Glennie home.
The gymnasium sees action in the fall when the Fighting Scots’ extremely successful volleyball team takes the court. Coach Kari Shimmin is the winningest volleyball coach in Monmouth history. Fans pack the stands when Shimmin’s spikers hit the court.
Men’s and women’s basketball also call Glennie home. With multiple NCAA tournament appearances, men’s basketball has one of the longest and most storied traditions of all Fighting Scots athletics programs.
The women’s basketball team made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012. The 2013 squad built on that success and earned the Scots their first national ranking.
