Monmouth College Softball Field
The Fighting Scots softball diamond is located east of April Zorn Memorial Stadium. A berm beyond the outfield fence, which measures 210’ to all fields, leads to a sand volleyball court, a practice area for the football team, a throw area for track and field and six lighted tennis courts at the northwest corner of the campus.
While bleacher seating for softball is available behind the backstop, fans may choose to sit on the outfield berm to catch all the action, and a home run ball or two. Fans are often seen, and heard, cheering from nearby Graham residence hall, and they’ve had plenty to cheer about. The softball team has qualified for the exclusive four-team conference tournament every year but once during John Goddard’s tenure as head coach. The Scots have also produced three All-Region players and 15 All-America Scholar-Athletes since 2011.
In the fall, the lighted sand volleyball court is the big draw for intramural competition.
