      1. Hopkins Memorial Forest

        The Hopkins Memorial Forest is a 2,600-acre (1040 ha) reserve that crosses from Massachusetts into New York and Vermont. The forest is managed by the Center for Environmental Studies and is used for research and undergraduate teaching. 


        The forest is open to the public for a variety of recreational activities, such as hiking, snowshoeing, and bird watching. It's just over a mile walk from campus and provides a scenic view of the area.
