Ellis Theater is located inside the Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Building. Seating nearly 400, Ellis Theatre is a proscenium space with a 20’ x 36’ stage opening, three electrics (two over the house, three over the stage), an orchestra pit, a 30-line fly system, and complete sound and computer-controlled lighting capabilities. The large stage allows us to use it as a black-box space with audience seated onstage; we have used this capability to stage shows in proscenium, thrust, and arena arrangements. A large Scene Shop is located adjacent to the stage. Nearby are the costume shop, dressing rooms with bathrooms and showers, and a large acting/dance studio.
