"Peirce Geodetic Monument" is a three-foot tall, brass and black granite, cylindrical marker atop a six foot (diameter), brass grating. The marker was donated and installed by the Nation Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the US National Geodetic Survey on June 30, 1987. A metal plaque, commemorating Peirce is installed on the side of the marker. A second, metal plaque is installed on a concrete bench behind the marker and describes the sculpture's functionality as a geodetic marker.
