Aztec Football utilizes two practice fields on campus. The south field is 110,000 square feet of natural bermuda grass, similar to the playing surface at
Qualcomm Stadium. It also houses three filming towers that were installed in 2011. The north field is a FieldTurf Classic HD 2.5 with CoolPlay, installed in
2016. The CoolPlay system allows for the field to perform at approximately 25-30 degrees cooler than a standard artificial turf.
